S.O.S. Artist: Ray Adkins - Song Title: Ballad of Edward Garrison
As co-founder of the Manatees, Adkins wrote songs and appeared on their
first CD “High Water.” He left that band to pursue a solo career, releasing
“Restoration” in 1993 and “Atma Gita” in 1996. In the last four years,
Adkins has focused on songwriting via co-writing and songwriting
roundtables. The result has been 16-20 songs that he is currently recording
with a core line-up of Michael Radcliffe on bass (Robert Hazard, Flock of
Seagulls and Chubby Checker) and Neil Simpkins on drums (Frank’s Soda
commercial with Patty Smyth and producer/drummer for Patsy Foster’s “Long
Cold War”).
