Lisa Popeil, the creator Voiceworks® Method is one of America’s foremost experts on the singing and speaking voice, and an authority on belting and commercial vocal styles. Singers will have one-on-one vocal coaching (10-minute minimum) with Lisa, in one of two sessions being offered. She will hone in on the special need of each singer as she hears her/him sing (song chosen in advance of session) to improve each student’s singing, and to overcome any vocal challenge.
Lisa’s friendly and enthusiastic teaching style puts singers at ease. Her experience in leading singers INSTANT VOCAL IMPROVEMENT, and in vocal health, keeps her in demand for celebrity clients, actors, managers, directors and record producers at her studio near Los Angeles, in Sherman Oaks, CA.
She has an international reputation as an innovator in the technique and pedagogy (how to teach) of all vocal styles. She holds a Master's Degree in Voice from California Institute of the Arts and has taught professionally for over 40 years, and is sought after by vocal teachers and voice professionals for training. She has numerous awards to her credit, and has sung on a Grammy Award winning album.
Lisa presents workshops and research papers at prestigious voice conferences around the world, including the annual Voice Foundation Conference in Philadelphia. She is coming to Philadelphia several days early to offer Master Classes in Ambler.
TUITION: $65
During the 2 hour Master Class, singers will each have a 10 minute (minimum) individual coaching session, along with a group vocal warm up at the beginning of the class. Singers will also learn by watching Lisa work with others.
OBSERVATION ONLY Tuition: $32.50
Interested teachers, vocalists can attend to observe and take notes, participate in vocal warm up only. Much will be learned by observing Lisa in coaching session. (Does not include asking questions or a personal vocal coaching session.)
